The decision to remove Fair Day from the 2011-12 school calendar could be short lived.Last week, the School Board removed the day off for students in an effort to push the start of school back to Aug. 15. In order to make a change now that the calendar has been set, the Warren County Education Association must be in agreement.Since the decision was made, Warren County Fair Association president Kevin Lawrence says his phone has not stopped ringing.“People are definitely upset by this decision,” Lawrence said. “We offer numerous activities and discount rides.
