Two meth labs discovered

Two meth labs in the same house in Smithville have led to charges against four suspects, one of whom hails from Warren County.Anthony Lynn Colwell, 42, of McMinnville, Joseph Huff Ray, 30, of Smithville, Melissa Darlene Woods, 44, of Florence, Ala., and Jeffery Lynn Sanders, 42, of Smithville, are all charged with initiating the process to manufacture meth. They are being held at DeKalb County Jail on $50,000 bonds awaiting their respective trial dates.The group was arrested after an investigator with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department saw Colwell along with his girlfriend (Woods) outside the house they were staying on Snow Street in Smithville. The lawman said he saw Colwell get something out of Woods’ vehicle and take it across the street, placing it behind a block wall.The officer walked over and found the container which was determined to be a small meth lab commonly known as a one-pot.
