Three people have been indicted for a meth trafficking operation inside Green Acres Apartments late last year.
The trio, Latricia R. Brady, 26, Steffen M. Brady, 24 and Tammy Renee Crusinberry, 29, were all indicted on charges of possession with intent to sell meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.
According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the residence to help a probation officer who was there to conduct a search. McMinnville police officer Bobby Anderson reported they were eventually granted permission to enter the apartment and it didn’t take long to find a gram of meth inside Mr. Brady’s bedroom along with six digital scales, a marijuana pipe, and a 9 mm handgun clip containing 10 rounds. A search of Ms. Brady’s purse yielded even more meth as 5.3 grams were found when police checked.
Police also discovered a surveillance system they believe the residents were using to monitor the parking lot outside their apartment.
“A wireless camera system was posted at the entrance to the apartment and into the parking lot,” Anderson wrote in his warrants against the Green Acres couple.
Police say they also found drugs on Crusinberry. Anderson said it was noticed she had two varieties of pills in one pill bottle that was on her person.
“She asked if she was going to be charged with them and the officer said ‘most likely’ and then she started shoving them into her mouth,” Anderson recalled, noting the officer chased the woman into a bedroom where he was able to get most of the pills out of her mouth before she swallowed them.
Along with trying to swallow the pills, police say Crusinberry had $394 concealed in her bra which she tried to hand to another person in the apartment when police began their search.
One week after the Green Acres bust, Steffen Brady was arrested for ramming a deputy during a high-speed chase near Viola. Officers say Brady intentionally slammed into deputy Billy Joe Crouch, causing the lawman’s vehicle to overturn. Crouch suffered a serious concussion in the wreck.
Brady along with his passenger, Tammy Crusinberry, were arrested a short time later. Crusinberry has entered a plea to her charges in regard to evading arrest and served 12 days. Steffen Brady could face up to 30 years in prison just for the chase and ramming the deputy.
