NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Nashville police say a recent high school graduate has been shot and killed outside a convenience store.
Officers told WSMV-TV in Nashville that 18-year-old Deshaun Sawyers parked his car at a gas pump Tuesday morning and walked over to another car parked beside the building.
Police say when Sawyers got into that car, someone shot him.
Police say the teen got out of the car and tried to get back into his car at the gas pump.
Police say Sawyers and some friends were in Nashville for a party.
The suspect fled the scene in a silver GMC Envoy.
