Taxpayers to foot bill for inmates broken jaw

One inmate will face an additional two months behind bars, while another will get three years for their parts in a 3-on-1 attack on a fellow prisoner at Warren County Jail that left the victim with a broken jaw.Jody Lynn Jennings entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to the reduced charge of assault. He was ordered to serve 60 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and must perform 16 hours public service work.Blake Campbell Raper entered a plea to the indicted charge of aggravated assault and was given a three-year penitentiary sentence to be served in addition to other time he faces on separate charges.According to sheriff’s investigator Kevin Murphy, an inmates jaw was broken in two places during the assault. The victim will have to undergo surgery to fix the damage.The three aggressors, who included Jennings, Raper and Scott Willett, were linked to the attack by surveillance video which lawmen say showed them actively involved in the assault on their fellow inmate.
