Susie Drucella Carter, 92, of Winchester died Saturday, April 21, at her residence. She was born Jan. 26, 1920, in DeKalb County and was a retired employee of Warren County General Hospital and member of the Apostolic Light House Church.Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by parents William (Bill) and Margaret France Jones, husband William Powell Carter, daughter Jenis Carter, son, Jerry Carter, stepdaughter Barbara Collins, son-in-law Clarence Adams; sisters, Gillie Allen, Florence Humphrey, Annie Mannon, Mary Jones, Percilla Warren, Pelina Marsh, Vina Turner, America Turner, and Louisa Jennings, and brothers Alec Jones, Walter Jones, Cephas Jones, Acquilla Jones, Tommy Jones, Willie Jones, Burgess Jones, and Thurman (Jack) Jones.Survivors include her daughters Janis Carter Adams of Elizabethtown, Ky., JoAnn and husband Jim Reynolds of Huntland; stepson, Bill and wife Barbara Carter of McMinnville; sisters, Elsie Newby of McMinnville, and Judy Berryhill of Nashville; grandchildren Elizabeth Susie Urbano, Rusty Reynolds, Laura Reynolds Cicchelli, Dustin Reynolds, Cody Reynolds, and Clint Reynolds; great-grandchildren Ben Urbano, Gracy Reynolds, Parker Reynolds, Audrey Reynolds and Bryson Reynolds, step-grandchildren Tina Byars, Aric Carter, Tonia Rader, Derrick Carter, and Misty Gross, and step great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive.Funeral service was Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
