A man caught stealing surveillance cameras from Country Club Market last year has been given a five-year prison sentence. The defendant, Johnny R. Walker, 37, was sentenced to a total of five years behind bars on charges of theft and attempting to manufacture meth. He must also pay a $2,000 fine. His sentence comes after he and Rhonda L. Barnard, 38, stole video surveillance cameras from outside Country Club Market on Manchester Highway last year.Investigators say they know it was Walker and Barnard because they can clearly be seen on the surveillance tape taking the cameras. Unknown to the suspects, the very cameras they were stealing were recording their images and transmitting them to a central recorder which was locked inside the building.
