Morrison Elementary School was the scene of some excitement yesterday morning. Students receiving awards were rewarded with a special visit from local emergency response personnel.“We did get one phone call from a concerned neighbor,” said Morrison principal Kim Cantrell. “They saw all the commotion.”Raising the neighborhood alarm was a visit from members of McMinnville Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Department and its DARE vehicle, Warren County Ambulance Service, Warren County Rescue Squad, and McMinnville Fire Department.Students were allowed an up-close look at the workings of the vehicles each department brought.“It was fun,” said Hunter Hall, who was allowed into the back of an ambulance where paramedic Melissa White dressed his “wounded” arm with a bandage.“I’ve been in one before, but it wasn’t any fun,” Hall added, “I dehydrated and had to be taken to the hospital.
