Stevens still in jail for taking meth lab into home

A Morrison woman who hid a meth lab in the home of an 86-year-old woman after a car crash had her bond reduced to $40,000 in court Thursday, but she remains in jail.Christy Stevens, 47, faces nine charges stemming from a July 8 wreck that landed her in jail and forced the elderly woman to evacuate her home.The one-vehicle wreck happened on W. Green Hill Road when Stevens lost control of her 1986 Honda Civic. While she was waiting for police to arrive, Stevens convinced the 86-year-old to allow her to use the bathroom inside her home. She crashed nearby.“Ms. Stevens took a meth lab into the restroom so I would not find it,” said highway patrolman Al Seitner in his report.
