MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Middle Tennessee State University says Guangxi (GWAHNG'-she) University in China will send 260 students to study at the Murfreesboro University for two years.
The plan was announced two years ago, but the goal was 140 students. Guangxi University President Zhao Yanlin said in a news release from MTSU that MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee's visits to Guangxi encouraged the increase.
Guangxi students will spend two years in Murfreesboro to finish their undergraduate studies and earn a master's degree.
McPhee finished his fourth visit to Guangxi's Nanning campus earlier this month.
