JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) — Two people have been arrested after local police and state agents on a drug raid blasted their way into a home.
The Johnson City Press reports (http://bit.ly/2q8X8De) that 39-year-old Richard Jenny and 36-year-old Melissa Furguson were being held in the Washington County Detention Center after the Wednesday morning raid.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says in a news release that agents acting on a search warrant found methamphetamine and weapons inside the house after using explosives on the door. The raid was part of an ongoing investigation.
In January, Jenny was shot by a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer after pulling a gun during a traffic stop and was charged with assault.
Jenny's bail is set at $110,000, and Furguson's is set at $60,000. It's unclear if they have lawyers.
