Operation Christmas Child in Warren County is off to a promising start, but more is needed. As of noon yesterday, more than 1,200 shoeboxes had been donated.First United Methodist Church took the reins of the program this year. The donation center is in the old bank building located beside the church’s parking lot.“It’s going well,” said Debbie Patterson, church administrative assistant and Operation Christmas Child organizer.
