School system hounds Dibrell contractor

Contractors for Dibrell School can expect to field a phone call every day from the Warren County School System until their freezer door is fixed – over one year after the school was expected to be complete.“We need to call them every day until it is taken care of,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox, instructing a call be made to Mid-State Construction, which is the contractor for the Dibrell project. At issue is a cooler door at Dibrell which was incorrectly installed by Atlanta Fixtures, a subcontractor at the school. While the freezer is operational, the issue is expected to become a problem in the future given how it was incorrectly modified. That, along with numerous other delays in completing the school, have School Board members hot under the collar.
