Should the Warren County School System combine a teacher development day with the WCHS Homecoming Parade to allow more students in the school system to attend?During Monday’s meeting of the county Education Committee, chair Diane Starkey asked Director of Schools Bobby Cox to consider options for allowing more Homecoming Parade participation. “I don’t know if you get the final say on the school calendar or if the committee does, but do they consider letting the kids out of school on the day they have the Homecoming Parade? I think that would allow more students to attend,” said Starkey. On Oct. 1, students were released from school at 1 p.m. for a teacher development day.
