Attending Motlow State Community College is more affordable for Warren County students who can qualify and benefit from the Citizens for Progress scholarship. The CFP scholarship program vision is to help provide high school and non-traditional students residing in Warren County an opportunity to attend a college or technical school.Additionally, the program hopes to provide an opportunity for students to gain training in order to obtain a well-paying job in Warren County. By design, the scholarship will not only provide employers in Warren County with a well-trained workforce, but also provide an incentive for young people to remain in the county.Students enrolled in the fast-growing Mechatronics program in particular may benefit from this new scholarship program. The program carries with it certain eligibility provisions for each category of students, but the essence is the scholarship is provided for Warren County residents who are either Warren County High School students, or who are county residents working at a Warren County manufacturer. Additional eligibility requirements and program stipulations exist. The CFP scholarship is a last-dollar program, therefore all students must apply for, qualify and accept all local, state, and/or federal financial aid to be eligible to receive CFP funds.
