McMinnville Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol will be stepping up this Memorial Day weekend to remove intoxicated drivers from the streets and roadways.“It will be a coordinated effort this weekend between all three departments,” said McMinnville Police Department Lt. Mark Mara. A saturated patrol are extra officers on the street who look specifically for signs a driver might be intoxicated. Signs include swerving, speeding up or slowing down abruptly, excessive speed, running a red light, following too closely, etc. McMinnville Police Department held a saturated patrol on May 17 due to the number of accidents involving deaths recently in Warren County.“We’ve had three motor vehicle accidents with four deaths,” said Mara.
