Ross hears eight-person docket

Eight people were sentenced or bound to the grand jury Thursday by Judge Larry Ross on the Traffic Court trial docket. Included in court action:
• Cecelia Barber was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $1,261 and perform 16 hours public service work for simple possession of marijuana.
• Anthony Curtis was bound to the grand jury on charges of promoting the manufacture of meth and driving on a suspended license.
• Frederick Williams was bound to the grand jury on charges of simple possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license.
• Steven Hankins was bound to the grand jury on charges of fourth-offense driving on a revoked license and violation of probation.
• Clifford Keller was bound to the grand jury on the charge of second-offense driving on a revoked license.
• Brandy George must serve 10 days and pay $471 for driving on a suspended license and failure to appear in court. She must also serve the balance of her former sentence for violation of probation.
• Jamie Slatton must pay $152 for driving without a license.
• Nikita Clark must serve the balance of her sentence for violation of probation.
