Robbins faces domestic assault charge

A man who smashed a vase over his roommate’s head has been bound to the grand jury on domestic assault charges.The man, Steven Charles Robbins, 40, was bound to the grand jury by General Sessions Judge Larry Ross on the charge of aggravated domestic assault.According to McMinnville Police Officer Ben Cantrell, Robbins and the woman had been in an argument leading up to the alleged assault.“They were arguing about a car accident,” Cantrell said, noting the argument turned physical at some point. “He hit the victim in the head, breaking a vase in three pieces.”Cantrell said the woman showed signs of injury including marks and bloody knees.
