Road rage lands Tate in jail

A man with no prior criminal record will serve two days in jail following a road rage incident in which he punched the other driver in the face.“You must think you’re bullet proof,” said General Sessions Judge Larry Ross to Robert Tate in finding him guilty on the charge of assault for punching the victim, Shane Orlando, whom he had never met before the incident. “Seeing that there’s a gun in half the cars going around in Warren County, it’s lucky someone didn’t shoot you.”According to the testimony of both Tate and Orlando, the incident happened when one of the drivers cut off the other, although there was a disagreement about whose fault it was for the near miss on the bypass. Orlando testified Tate was driving dangerously and was trying to run him off the road.
