Warren County’s effort to close a section of Stubblefield Road to public use has hit a bump due to a cemetery located there.According to Road Superintendent Levie Glenn, the presence of an old cemetery will require legal consideration.“When it comes to closing Stubblefield Road, we found out there is a cemetery back there. I’m talking to the county attorney to see if that affects anything,” Glenn said to members of the county’s Highway and Bridge Committee on Thursday. The county received a request from property owners Jason and Angela Wells to consider closing the dead-end section of Stubblefield Road which is located in Viola in the area of White Hall Road, Baker Road and Steakley Road. The couple owns the property along both sides of the road they would like closed. While the cemetery doesn’t touch Stubblefield Road, the street gives the only access to it.
