A 38-year-old man has been indicted for second degree murder for the death of Robin Emigh.

According to the Warren County Grand Jury indictment filed on July 14, Michael Brandon Redmond was indicted for second degree murder and aggravated assault. The indictment states, Redmond “on or about the 27th day of January 2023, in Warren County, Tennessee, and before the finding of this indictment, knowingly did kill Robin Emigh, constituting the offense of murder in the second degree, a Class “A” Felony.”

Redmond was also indicted for reportedly causing bodily injury to Emigh, resulting in a Class “C” Felony.

The indictment states, Redmond “on or about the 27th day of January 2023, in Warren County, Tennessee, and before the finding of this indictment, did commit an assault by intentionally knowingly or recklessly causing bodily injury to another, to wit: Robin Emigh, and the assault involved strangulation or attempted strangulation constituting the offense of aggravated assault.”

It is unclear how Redmond killed Emigh. The Southern Standard reached out to Warren County Sheriff Jackie Matheny Jr. for clarification. He told the Standard to contact District Attorney General Chris Stanford. Stanford has not responded to the Standard’s question regarding how Redmond killed Emigh at the time of print.

Another man has been indicted for accessory after the fact in relation to Emigh’s murder, but he is not being named at this time.

Redmond was taken into the Warren County Jail on July 17 and his bond is set for $150,000.
