Publicist has day-one ties to Bonnaroo

When Ken Weinstein started his own business as a music publicist in 1999 after years with record labels, he didn’t have a client and his career was a tune of uncertainly.Yet just three years later his company, Big Hassle Media, would get the nod as the publicity arm of Bonnaroo, a festival that’s grown to be one of the largest in America. Weinstein has been with Bonnaroo since its inception and is busy finalizing plans for this year’s event which starts Thursday.“I remember writing my proposal for Bonnaroo, but back then it didn’t even have a name,” said Weinstein. “That proposal is still on my computer today.
