Probationers went to see their probation officers with guns, counterfeit money and drugs. They were caught this past week during a crackdown held at the office on Mullican Street.Three probationers appeared before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on Tuesday morning, facing not only violation of their probation but new charges. They all fell into a sting orchestrated by the Department of Probation and Parole which sent a tactical team to conduct surprise searches of parolee vehicles when they arrived to meet with their probation officers.Jimmy Kyle Comfort, 29, faces charges of criminal simulation and simple possession of meth after a K-9 (drug sniffing dog) indicated the presence of drugs in his vehicle.“During a search, a small metal container was discovered containing two small plastic packets with suspected methamphetamine,” said McMinnville police detective Todd Rowland.More incriminating evidence was found against the parolee during a search of his person.“During a search of his person, inside his billfold was discovered $1,120 in counterfeit bills,” Rowland revealed.
