A man was sentenced to two years in jail and assessed a $6,000 fine for posing as his twin brother to get drugs. The twin, Caleb Dennis, 34, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to nine criminal counts of forgery, fraudulently obtaining drugs, and identity theft. The charges were leveled against Dennis after he visited McMinnville Medical Consultants on three occasions in January through March and saw a doctor under false pretenses. During his visits, he signed in as his twin brother, effectively using his brother’s identity without his permission. He was given oxycodone on two occasions while posing as his twin. His scam was uncovered on the third visit when the doctor’s office realized the person who had been visiting them and getting prescriptions was not the person he claimed to be.
