With November’s election just over one month away, political signs are popping up in abundance in the city of McMinnville. According to McMinnville Planning and Zoning manager Josh Baker, some are still being illegally placed and are being removed by codes enforcement.“We send out notices to all the individuals running for election on where their signs can be placed,” said Baker. “We probably need to send out follow-up letters.”Calls to the city have been received about signs placed on private property without the owner’s permission.“If a sign is placed on your property without your permission, you can remove it and dispose of it,” said Baker.
