GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) â Police in Tennessee are investigating what led up to the near-drowning of a boy found at the bottom of a pool at a summer day camp in Goodlettsville.

WTVF-TV in Nashville reported that 6-year-old Michael Sloan remained in the pediatric intensive care unit Wednesday at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville since the near-drowning on Friday.

The boy's father, P.J. Sloan, posted on Facebook that his son was swimming at camp when someone noticed him at the bottom of the pool.

Police continue to investigate, but say it appeared to be an accident. They say students had adult supervision and the adults performed CPR until medics arrived.

P.J. Sloan says Michael may have to go to Atlanta for rehabilitation.
