With spring-like weather just around the corner, most homeowners find themselves facing a lengthy to-do list. Pioneer Building Supply has everything you need to take the list from do to done.
“Spring is the perfect time to consider sprucing up your home,” said Pioneer co-owner Amie Hodges. “There are things that you don’t want to do in the winter months, such as replacing your front door.”
Did you know that replacing an outdated front door with a decorative one adds value to your home? For individuals wanting to sell their home, the average recoup of adding a decorative front door is 85 percent.
The business has a line of decorative exterior doors in all colors and designs in stock, but custom sizes can be ordered.
“We can custom match to size,” said Pioneer co-owner Gordon McGee Jr. “All we need is the size. It will take a little longer, but it’s no problem to get a custom size.”
Other outside items include storm doors, shingles, siding, trim, gutters, concrete steps, cross ties for landscaping, exterior shutter, pressure treated lumber for a new deck, and tools to help with lawn maintenance and care.
For spring cleaners who like to spruce up the interior of a home, check out the vanities, lighting, faucets, countertops, plantation shutters, trim, paneling, and flooring options with ceramic tiles, vinyl and laminate in all designs and colors.
“On a scale of one to 10 in difficulty, laying down laminate flooring is probably an eight on the do-it-yourself project,” said McGee. “It can be a little complicated, so do your research.”
Also available are back splash options in a wide array of colors, sizes and decorative designs.
“Putting up a back splash is pretty easy to do,” said Hodges. “A back splash can be a simple do-it-yourself project. You can even use back splash material to do an accent wall behind your stove. I’ve seen that a lot on HGTV.”
Pioneer Building Supply is offering 10 percent off Porter Paints for homeowners who want to add bright colors.
In business for more than three decades, visitors can also find great customer service and a knowledgeable staff.
“Our staff is very knowledgeable,” said McGee. “We are very proud of that. If you have a question, someone on staff will know the answer.”
