Time is running out to apply for the position of McMinnville Parks and Recreation director. The deadline to submit an application is this Friday, Feb. 17.According to human resource administrator Jennifer Rigsby, over 40 applications have been received thus far. The salary range for the job is $45,000 to $85,000, and will be based on experience and qualifications.“We’ve gotten some really good applications, so I don’t think we’re going to have any trouble filling this position,” Rigsby said, noting several local individuals have submitted applications.The chosen candidate will fill the position left vacant by the retirement of longtime Parks and Recreation director Carlene Brown, who took a retirement buyout in September 2010, along with Planning and Zoning director Jim Brock.
