McMinnville officials have decided to extend the deadline for receiving bids to auction off the two lots on Main Street. The new deadline is Oct. 26.The original deadline for bid submittal was today, Sept. 21, which was set Aug. 28 after the lots were declared surplus. However, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen was informed Tuesday night no bids have been received.What has been received are requests for the board to extend the deadline to allow for more time to generate bid documents.“We have had some interest in the properties,” said city administrator David Rutherford.
