A member of a respected local law firm has been tagged by District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis to join her prosecutorial staff.The attorney, Matt Colvard, was sworn into office Tuesday morning by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley and became the newest member of the 31st Judicial District’s prosecutorial staff. The district serves Warren and Van Buren counties.Prior to being hired by Zavogiannis, Colvard worked with the law firm of Farrar, Holliman and Medley on Main Street. Colvard, Zavogiannis pointed out, has prior prosecutorial experience serving with the Williamson County prosecutor’s office in the past.Colvard’s hiring comes after the prosecutor’s office had been operating two members short of full staff for the past few months.
