Plans for a possible EMS station located in the Rock Island area appear years down the road.Constable Jason Dodson has submitted a petition to members of the county’s Safety Committee with approximately 650 names of people in the Rock Island, Campaign, and Midway areas who would like an EMS station built there.Commissioner Teddy Boyd said, “I am all for it. But, we just got through talking about trying to buy one ambulance. It would be a minimum of $250,000 just to look at building it.”County Executive John Pelham said, “We have approximately $175,000 in Station 4 and the property was given to us.
