NAMI looking to help families of mentally ill

If someone you love has a mental illness, there’s a new source of support in Warren County. An affiliate of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, has been formed by local families and is meeting this coming Thursday, Oct. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Spirit of Life Church, 517 N. Spring Street, McMinnville.NAMI Warren County will meet each month on the third Thursday. The group is composed of friends and family who know first-hand the challenges of having a loved one with a mental illness such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, eating disorders and other illnesses.NAMI offers families guidance, support and information about treatment.
