Motorists looking forward to the new interchange at Broad Street, Memorial Boulevard and Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro will have an additional 18 months to wait as the estimated date of completion has been pushed back.The project, awarded in July 2014 to Bell and Associates, had a May 2016 completion date. According to Region 3 TDOT spokesperson Heather Jensen, the project has had some significant delays that required the date to be changed to December 2017.“Several areas of the project are finally taking shape, but the work has not been without its challenges. For that reason, TDOT and Bell & Associates Construction have agreed upon a new completion date of December 2017 for the project.
