Tempers flared when county Safety Committee members were told current plans for the county morgue could cost up to $150,000.Commissioner Charles Morgan was outraged, saying, “How do we take a $40,000 structure and turn it into a $140,000 structure?”Warren County EMS director Brian Jennings stressed the estimate was the upper limit of possible cost. “I guess what I should make a comment on is the $150,000 was seen as a cap. It was seen as a could be up to, but we won’t know until the Building and Grounds Committee has the architect come in and tell us what he thinks the projected cost would be.”“It could come in at $80,000, it could come in at $75,000,” said Jennings.The initial estimate received by the Safety Committee was $50,000 for a basic metal building.
