McMinnville’s $1.2 million electronic water meters are going down the drain. Officials are considering replacing them seven years after installation due to ongoing problems.Back in 2006, officials listened to a presentation by Volunteer Utility Sales that sounded too good to be true. According to the company, the meters would pay for themselves because less manpower would be needed to read them.
