A half year in jail will be the price for a confessed meth cooker who had sex with an underage girl. The man, Andrew Langford, 22, entered best-interest pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of initiating the process to manufacture meth and statutory rape. He was ordered to serve 180 days of an eight-year sentence, pay $2,000 plus costs, and perform 48 hours public service work. His sentence comes after lawmen raided his Gentry Street residence and found numerous items used in the production of meth. “A Pyrex dish containing residue field tested positive for methamphetamine,” said McMinnville Police narcotics investigator Tony Jenkins, pointing to direct evidence of meth manufacture found at the scene and noting Langford confessed to his role in the crime.
