A man who called 911 demanding to go to jail got his wish, but not before a short altercation with officers. The 911 caller, Jeremy R. Rochon, 34, entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to charges of misuse of 911 and resisting arrest. He was directed to serve 48 hours and pay $50 plus costs. His arrest came after 911 fielded a call from Rochon originating from his home on Old Shelbyville Road.“He called 911 and told them he wanted to go to jail,” said sheriff’s deputy Steven McMillan about being dispatched to the house on a disturbance call. “Upon arrival I could hear him yelling from inside the house.”The officer learned Rochon and his wife had been arguing and that he called 911 during the dispute.
