Man reportedly attacked with numerous weapons

A woman has been bound to the grand jury for allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a tomahawk.The suspect, Deborah Gibson, 57, waived her right to preliminary hearing before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke and was bound to the grand jury on the charge of aggravated domestic assault.She was charged after police were dispatched to her home on Underwood Road to answer a domestic dispute call. When they arrived, they found a man bleeding from a large, open wound on his right hand.“He said he attempted to get his cellphone from his girlfriend and she became enraged and began to attack him with a tomahawk,” said McMinnville Police Lt. Mark Mara.The victim said his girlfriend then began picking up other weapons to hit him with.“She obtained a hammer and attempted to assault him and then took possession of a machete and continued the assault on him,” Mara noted, adding the attack left the victim with a large gash on his arm.
