A man has been indicted for stabbing another man in the arm during a disagreement.
The suspect, Chase Heath Gannaway, 30, was indicted on the charge of aggravated assault. The felony carries three to six years in prison. He was also indicted for violating an order of protection.
His indictment comes after Gannaway entered a woman’s apartment and started making trouble with her boyfriend. The suspect was then asked to leave by the woman.
“He acted like he was going to leave,” the victim of the stabbing told the judicial commissioner in swearing out the warrant. “And then he told me I had 10 minutes to leave before he came back.”
After making the ultimatum he came back in the apartment and started pushing the victim.
Moments later, Gannaway reportedly went to the kitchen and returned with a knife. He then stabbed the victim in the shoulder and arm.
The source of the dispute is unknown, although the victim revealed Gannaway seemed upset at his mere presence at the apartment.
