A mother is facing time after she hit her adult son with a clock during an argument. The mother, Debra C. Underwood, 54, is charged with felony aggravated domestic assault and is set to go before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on Dec. 4 for a preliminary hearing. Her charges come after police responded to a call of a domestic dispute on Liberty Lane. It was learned Underwood had summoned authorities to the residence following an argument with her son.Upon arriving, McMinnville police officer Tim Jones said he found evidence it was the mother who was the primary aggressor in the fight.“During the argument, she struck him in the face and hit him in the left side of his back with an alarm clock,” officer Jones said in his warrant against Underwood, noting there was evidence of the assault on the son’s body. “The alarm clock left an imprint of the clock in his skin.”The warrant did not reveal the reason for the argument between mother and son.
