ANTIOCH, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities say a man visiting Percy Priest Lake with friends has drowned.

Media report that 28-year-old David Malone was with about 10 friends and was climbing up the ladder of a pontoon boat when he fell into the water about 3:30 p.m. Sunday and never resurfaced.

His friends tried to find him, but couldn't and called emergency workers. His body was recovered about two hours later near Four Corners Marina in Antioch.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said it is the eighth boating-related death in 2014.
