Local teen killed by collapsing wall

A McMinnville teen was fatally crushed by a concrete wall Saturday afternoon while working on a farm in neighboring Cannon County.Beau Mitchell Manni, 19, has been identified as the victim, according to a report from the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department.Manni was reportedly working on a farm owned by Jimmy Higgins when the accident took place. The farm is located off Nashville Highway, not far from the Warren County line.In her accident report, Cannon County Sheriff’s Sgt. Melanie McCormick said she responded to the scene. She said she was informed by Higgins that workers were loading silage, which is livestock feed, into a bin that was made out of very large concrete barriers estimated at about one ton apiece.Manni was spraying weeds on the farm and was believed to be working by a barn.
