A former Warren County High School football and soccer player drowned Wednesday while swimming in Center Hill Lake.According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, 19-year-old Ricardo Duenas of Walker Street in McMinnville is the deceased swimmer. The accident happened Wednesday afternoon near Sligo Bridge.According to DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray, Duenas and another man had gone swimming in the lake near an old rock quarry. The sheriff said Duenas was trying to swim across to another bank and made it about halfway when he began showing signs of problems.Duenas reportedly went under water and was unable to bring himself back to the surface.
