Applications are now open for the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce’s leadership development program, Warren County Youth Leadership, for the 2021-22 school year.
This eight-month program focuses on developing leadership skills through interactive participation.
“Warren County Youth Leadership gives participants a broad range of experiences, providing them with the skills they need to become future leaders in our community. Youth who complete this program will learn how to navigate situations outside of their comfort zone and gain confidence in leadership,” said Warren County Youth Leadership Chair, Hannah Gribble.
Warren County Youth Leadership is designed to develop leadership potential in 11th-graders. The program helps to develop basic skills in leadership, problem-solving and communication while gaining awareness of community issues and personal potential.
There is a retreat and monthly sessions, which cover human services, education, media/ communications, healthcare, government, the criminal justice system, and tourism. A community service project is also a vital part of the curriculum.
Applications can be found at www.warrentn.com. The application deadline is June 1.
