Few things ring in the fall season like the time-honored tradition of taking a wet sponge to the face while you’re trapped in a stockade.Members of Bridges of Hope Fellowship did just that Saturday as one of the more than 160 booth vendors at the 23rd annual Autumn Street Fair in downtown McMinnville.“We were going to use tomatoes but we figured it would be too expensive and too messy,” joked church pastor Jamie English. “We’re telling people if they want to put their spouse in there, they can do it for $1. It will be the cheapest therapy they can get.”The unusual activity was for a worthy cause.
