A woman faces evidence tampering charges after she tried to stash her stash in her washing machine.The woman, Brandy Candace George, 35, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence. Her charges come after city and county lawmen executed a search warrant on her Pinecrest Street home after receiving information of drug activity there.“During execution of the search warrant, she was found in a laundry room at the rear of the house with the door closed,” said sheriff’s investigator Jody Cavanaugh.The woman was taken into custody on the spot after evidence was found all around her.“A crystal-like substance was found scattered in the room,” Cavanaugh said, noting it was apparent George had accidentally spilled the meth in her haste to hide the drugs as lawmen came through the door. “Approximately 1.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine was recovered from the washing machine and in two separate clothes baskets.”
