Three hurt in bypass crash
Three people were injured Thursday afternoon around 1 p.m. in a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Mullican Street and the bypass in front of Gondola. Police say the driver of the car in the foreground was trying to make a left turn from the bypass and pulled into the path of an oncoming car, pictured in the background.

Three people were injured Thursday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of the bypass and Mullican Street.
Police say the wreck happened when Deborah Robarge attempted to turn left onto Mullican Street from the bypass traveling from the direction of Walmart. She entered the path of an oncoming westbound car driven by Neva England.
The Robarge vehicle was struck in the passenger side, causing injuries to front-seat passenger Marilyn Canzoneri. She was airlifted for further treatment from Saint Thomas River Park Hospital. The backseat passenger, Judy Parupuee, was taken to Saint Thomas River Park along with the driver for treatment.
England suffered noncritical burns from her airbag deploying but declined transport to the hospital.
A third vehicle, driven by Jennifer van Vuuren, was sitting by Gondola facing southbound at the Mullican Street red light and was collected in the accident. She escaped injury.
