Rusty has demodectic mange, a treatable disease that is not contagious. He was found in Warren County after a concerned citizen reported him. Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center picked up the pooch and he is now under a veterinarians care.
Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center is hoping to educate the public about the importance of intervention on behalf of animals by telling the story of Rusty.“Rusty has demodectic mange,” said Animal Control director Kim Pettrey. “As you can see, his condition is as bad as it gets. He’s completely hairless and he’s sunburnt.
