A parade for Warren County High School seniors will take place next Sunday, May 22 beginning at 2 p.m.

McMinnville’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the procession during its regular session on Tuesday. In attendance were Mayor Ryle Chastain and Aldermen Zach Sutton, Rachel Kirby, Steve Harvey, Stacey Harvey and Sally Brock.

Anne Vance sent a letter request on behalf of the Class of 2022 Project Graduation Committee.

“We would like to kick off graduation week with a Parade of Seniors on May 22 beginning at 2 p.m.,” said Vance. “The parade will be comprised of seniors with their vehicles decorated showing their Pioneer Spirit.”

Graduates will meet at Warren County High School. The graduation celebration will proceed from the high school, down Morrison Street through Westwood, and travel the length of Main Street. It will turn right onto Colville Street and end at the Farmers Market.

“There will be no trailers or walkers in the parade and as they are leaving, we will monitor that no one rides in the back of a truck,” said Vance.

The Parade of Seniors began in 2020 due to the pandemic restricting graduation activities. It continued in 2021 due to its popularity.

According to the latest list released by Warren County High School, there are 321 seniors in the 2022 graduating class.
