The Warren County High School Prom Shop is a great way to give life to an old formal dress while also helping out those in need.
Prom night is supposed to be a night to remember, but for some it is a financial stress. WCHS teachers who organize the Prom Shop hope to ease that concern by providing dresses and accessories for students to choose for the big night. The Prom Shop first began in 2018.
This year, the shop has brand new dresses in all sizes donated from Upton’s Bridal and Formal Boutique. There will also be shoes and jewelry available. Some dresses have been donated by members of the community after being worn only once or twice. There are a variety of styles to choose from.
This year’s Prom Shop will be on Monday, March 20, Wednesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 23 from 3 to 4 p.m. If you would like to visit the shop, but are unable to attend one of the scheduled days, see WCHS teacher Whitney Dyer to make a separate appointment. The shop will be open by appointment only after March 23.
Prom is scheduled for April 29. For more information about the Prom Shop, the school can be reached at 931-668-5858.
